Supporting Every Student’s Full Potential
UMEI strives to cultivate full potential in each student. To enhance the equitable and dynamic learning environment, the UMEI Learning Hub is a space designed for students who need extra time, support and skill development. UMEI supports students with IEP accommodations by building strong relationships between teachers, parents and students. We also provide enhanced Guidance support to students in all four grades as they choose courses that lead to post-secondary goals.

Hi, I'm Nancy Loewen, UMEl's Head of Learning Support & Guidance Services. I have always been passionate about helping our students find success. In my role, / guide each student's academic and personal growth, skill development, and confidence.
At UMEl, our goal is to create the best possible learning environment so that, together with teacher encouragement & support, each student can reach their full potential.
All teachers are available in their classrooms after school daily for extra help. Students can drop in regularly during this time period for personalized instruction, remediation, or other supports that are needed.
